N. Highland at Virginia Avenue
Profile:
This is the heart of the Virginia-Highland business district (and neighborhood) located at the intersection of North Highland Avenue and Virginia Avenue. This shopping district has a fine selection of shops with clothing and accessories, as well as furniture and home accessories stores. There are a variety of good restaurants and eateries, as well as several pubs.
Parking during the day is a bit easier here than at the other business districts scattered along North Highland because there is a sizeable parking area behind the main block of stores. Getting in and out of the parking lot can be a bit trying, particularly if you are determined to turn left onto Highland from the parking lot, but if you plan to stay a while it's better than feeding the meters at the parking spaces outside the front door of the shops. As throughout Virginia-Highland, some businesses have their own parking on-site and you would be wise to park there only if you are patronizing the business in question, since you are subject to having your car towed otherwise.

Driving Directions:
From Ponce de Leon Avenue, turn North on North Highland Avenue. These shops span a distance of several blocks immediately north of the intersection of North Highland and Ponce, and are several blocks south of the main shopping district at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and North Highland.
